How To Care Your Beauty In Winter

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

In winter we have a habit of layering clothes onto our bodies to keep warm and forget the beauty rituals we may have perfected the summer before. But hiding away our bodies is not a reason to return to bad habits and it does not allow our skin to breathe naturally. Our skin needs constant care all year round and this includes continuing with the water intake into our bodies as well as the exfoliating and moisturising of the skin itself.

Sometimes our tendency is to scrub those dead skin cells away as fast as we can. This however can do a lot of damage to the skin. Rather try an exfoliating lotion like Clinique Clarifying Moisture Lotion or Shiseido Bio-performance Intensive Clarifying Essence. These chemically exfoliate the skin without harsh granules to scratch or irritate the skin.

Winter Care for Water Fountains

Most water fountains and statuary are made of “concrete”. It has a tendency to expand and contract with climate temperature changes.

Do NOT let water collect and freeze in the fountain bowl, planters, birdbaths and statuary.

Atmospheric pollution: Since we are living in an era of pollution, many diseases which were not heard of earlier are very common nowadays. As mentioned in the introduction, the exhaust fumes coming out from the vehicles and dirt and grime affect the skin. The skin loses its glow after some time. It is a very difficult task to preserve the glow and texture of the skin.

Staying away from sunbeds is another good tip as they still expose our skin to UV rays. In fact, most people tend to flock to salons in winter if they live in a country with a colder climate, just to top up their tans so that they can look healthy all through winter. This is really harmful to the skin and is just as bad as exposing it to sun in the summer months. Try and limit your use of a sunbed if you cannot tear yourself away completely, and remember, any tan is unhealthy, unless of course it comes out of a bottle!

Winter Beauty Tips

1. A little sheen can be used on eyes for getting some change. These shades are used on lips for looking voluptuous.

2. People should use matt-based foundation during winters.

3. Always use moisturizer or foundation with sun protection factor before going outside during the day in winter.

4. During winters, Smokey eyes are looked very beautiful and best than other eye makeup.

It should be reapplied after swimming or spending any length of time in the sun. Certain foods and beverages, such as herbal teas, avocados, and fruit, help in purifying and nourishing the skin in summer. Spicy or hot foods should be avoided if you plan on spending any length of time outdoors, as these may cause skin irritations or inflammations.

Professional Skin Care and What Beauty Care Products to Use

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Professional Skin Care is more than just about the skin but about the entire body physical and mental. What I mean here is that one needs to feel good about themselves to feel and look beautiful. There are many elements that are involved with ones health and beauty care. The skin, hair, cosmetics used, how they are applied, organic or not organic, mineral make up, etc; etc; ect.

As you can see without some kind of professional skin care advice and help it can be very disturbing trying to find what you need.If you’re like most women you may be confused about how to choose the proper beauty and skin care products to be using. Cosmetics come in many forms and deciding which is the best for you is often a matter of personal taste.

There is a difference because we are not all alike, some have dry skin while others have oily skin then you have those that are in between. So what is one to do?

If they’ll take the time to discuss how they run their business and especially how they service their clients then you may have a winner. Just remember you want a Professional Skin Care Consultant that you feel comfortable with and that you can talk to discussing your concerns and needs.

Here’s a Skin Care Tip That May Interest You…

Let’s start off with a Cleanser and Moisturizer product that you will use morning and night. The skin is the only thing you cannot change once damaged and it’s permanent. Make sure when choosing your product that it has all the benefits from Vitamin A, Vitamin E and any other ingredients for anti aging. Be sure you don’t mix different skin care products with each other because this is called chemical warfare.

Stay with the same brand of cleanser, mask, and moisturizer or optional care that the brand makes. Reason is because their ingredients are made to work together rather than against each other.

First decide if the your skin is oily all over or is it just oily in the T zone which is the forehead, side of nose and chin is known as the combination. These are skin areas that need to be watched closely.

Remember your skin changes with the seasons so contact your Professional Skin Care Consultant at the beginning of each season to determine what needs to be done to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.
